If getting through the day feels heavy, walls closing in, or pointless, you are not alone

You may notice:

  • Getting started on anything feels harder than it should

  • You have pulled back from people or activities that used to matter

  • You feel flat, numb, or far away from your own life

  • Your inner voice has gotten harsh and hard to shake

  • You are tired in a way that rest does not fix

You are not broken.
You are caught in patterns that can change.

Why depression does not often go  away on its own

Most people respond to depression by waiting for motivation to return before acting. You might:

  • wait to feel better before doing anything

  • withdraw further to protect your energy

  • avoid things that once mattered to you

  • judge yourself for not bouncing back faster

These responses are understandable.

Over time, they can actually keep the pattern going.

A different way to work with depression

We use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you:

  • act in line with what matters, even before motivation shows up

  • relate differently to self-critical thoughts

  • reconnect with activities and people that support your life

  • build momentum through small, consistent action

The goal is not to eliminate anxiety completely.

The goal is to help you move forward with your life.

What therapy looks like

This is structured, skill-based therapy.

We work to:

  • understand the pattern clearly

  • build practical skills

  • apply those skills in real situations

  • track what is actually improving

This is not just talking about problems.

It is learning how to respond differently to them.

We use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as the foundation for this work.  → Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
